Please be informed that the Consulate does not provide mailing services.Should you wish to receive your passport or documents by mail, you are advised to make arrangements w/ courier services.


You may wish to provide the Consulate with a self-addressed postage-paid priority mail stamped envelope from the US Postal Service (w/ tracking number) or any other courier service except FedEx.


Please be further informed of the following:

  • Meter stamps are discouraged as they expire. Postage stamps should be used.
  • Priority mail flat rate envelopes from the US Postal Service with either 10 x 6 or 12.5 x 9.5 dimensions should be used.

The enveloped with 15 x 9.5 dimensions is discouraged as it entails extra and unnecessary cost for the client

11 March 2013, New York – The second Leadership-Management Seminar (LMS) for Fil-Am Community members was held at Stratton Hall, Drexel University, Philadelphia on 09 March 2013. The first LMS was successfully held at the Philippine Center on 23 February 2013 for organizations in the New York and New Jersey areas.

Consul General Mario De Leon, Jr. met with Congressman John Larson of the 1st District of Connecticut last 22 February 2013. Accompanying him were Consul Zaldy Patron and eight leaders of the Filipino American community in CT, namely Dr. Cory Vargas, President, Pilipino Association of Connecticut, Inc. (PACI), Engr. Mario Blancaflor, PACI 2nd Vice President; Ms. Mely Punongbayan, PACI Secretary; Dr. Dennis Gan, Immediate Past President, PACI; Ms. Cecille Rogayan, President, Philippine-American Association of CT (PAAC); Mr. Joseph Battad, Executive Vice President, PAAC; Mr. Jeff Stern, State Chairperson, National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFA)-CT; and Ms. Lillian Quevedo, Secretary, NaFFAA-CT.

5 March 2013, New York  - The Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund (FALDEF), supported by the US Pinoy for Good Governance and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations, held a reception entitled “A Night of Hope” for the benefit of FALDEF at the Official Residence of the Consul General last March 1.

Eighteen Filipino American police officers belonging to the New York Police Department (NYPD), the police departments in Bergen County and Edison in New Jersey, and the US Customs and Border Protection gathered at the Philippine Center in New York on 26 February 2012 at a meeting hosted by Consul General Mario De Leon, Jr.
