The Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Department of Tourism in New York launched the 8th Ambassadors, Consuls General and Tourism Directors Tour (ACGTDT) to the Philippines at a meeting held on 7 February 2013 with 20 Filipino American community leaders from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  The launching was held at the residence of community leaders Eugene and Evita Florendo in Lexington, Massachusetts.

05 February 2013 - Philippine Consul General Mario L. De Leon, Jr. joined a gathering of New York-based organizations, NGOs, and New York City officials, collectively part of the Freedom Network in New York, at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center for Safe Horizon’s Voices of Hope: Lessons Learned in the Fight to end Human Trafficking.
