11 June 2013 – The Filipino community in Southern New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia celebrated the 115th Anniversary of Philippine Independence last 8 June 2013 with a Filipino Fiesta in Camden County, New Jersey. Once a year, a Philippine flag raising ceremony is held in Cooper River Park, Camden County to commemorate the historic event.

15 June 2013, New York - Members of the Filipino-American Community led by the Connecticut Association of Filipino and Filipino-American Families of Connecticut (CAFAF Inc.) were joined by Greenwich, Connecticut Selectman David Theis, Ambassador-at-Large Bea Crumbine and Deputy Consul General Theresa Dizon-de Vega at a special Philippine Flag-Raising Ceremony at the Greenwich Townhall on 14 June 2013.

14 June 2013, New York – The annual Philippine Day Parade now on its 26th year took place on 09 June 2013 at the 3rd Ward Memorial Park in Passaic, New Jersey. Passaic County is home to approximately 4,000 Filipino-Americans. The annual parade likewise attracts participants and viewers from the neighboring county of Bergen where nearly 30,000 Filipino-Americans reside. There were also participants from Jersey City, Connecticut, and New York.

14 June 2013, New York - Heads and personnel of the Philippine Mission to the UN in New York, the Philippine Consulate General, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, Philippine Department of Tourism and the Philippine Center Management Board held a Flag Ceremony and Fellowship Breakfast at the Philippine Center on 12 June 2013.
