04 June 2013 – The Society of Foreign Consuls (SFC) in New York brought together twelve Consulates General for an evening of multi-cultural dining, refreshments, and entertainment at the first ever International Food Festival last May 30, 2013 at the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Some 80 attendees comprised of members of the Consular Corps and guests of the Office of Foreign Missions were treated to a feast of gustatory treats, exotic flavors, and cultural performances from sponsor Consulates including the Philippine Consulate General NY, which served Chicken Adobo, Pancit Bihon and Leche Flan during the cocktails.

03 June 2013, New York – The streets of Manhattan reverberated with the sounds, sights, colors, and spirit of the Philippines as the annual Philippine Independence Day Parade once again took over the heart of New York City. Over 100 associations, groups and artists joined the 2013 Parade.

30 May 2013 – The Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in New York was filled with youthful energy as the pioneer batch of graduates marched during the Philippine Graduation (P-Grad) last May 29, 2013. Co-sponsored by the Philippine Consulate General New York, Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro) and National Federation of Filipino American Association (NaFFAA), the P-Grad honored a select number of Filipino and Fil-Am students who finished their degrees this year, while also contributing to the advancement of their communities in the tri-state area.

The menu showcased signature dishes like Lechon, La Paz Batchoy, Fresh Lumpia, and Kinilaw prepared by the chefs of The Ugly Kitchen, Payag, Maharlika, Jeepney, Kuma Inn and Umi Nom. Drinks served, inspired by Filipino exotic produce such as ampalaya, mangoes and calamansi, provided refreshment to the 300 guests who attended. The event capped off the Manhattan Cocktail Classic 2013 series, celebrated annually in New York to highlight the diversity of the city through the cuisine and cocktails of different cultures.
